Desert Warriors Reality Show
The Dr. Newton Jibunoh Desert Warriors Reality Show is scheduled to take off in November 2009 as a joint venture between Lagos State Government's MOE, FADE Africa and the Republic of Niger’s Ministry of Environment.
Fifty selected participants will be put through various endurance exercises, physical fitness challenges, discipline tests, social comportment and driving skills tests. The challenges will be filmed and later transmitted on various TV stations in Nigeria and Niger. The show will air 14 episodes TV and will show the participants are faring. During the show, viewers will be allowed to vote for the favorite warriors via SMS. The final 15 candidates will be selected by 50% votes from viewers and 50% from the judges.
On January 4th 2009, the remaining 15 contestants will participate as official Desert Warriors in the Expedition. During the expedition, the participants will travel from Nigeria to the United Kingdom across the Sahara desert by car. The Desert Warriors will also receive prizes including a Suzuki jeep as well as monetary awards.

Tree Park of Fame
In January 2010, FADE will launch a park of fame where trees will be planted in honor of leaders and dignitaries of our time. We will also plant trees donated by sponsors. All trees will be labeled with personalized plaques that display the names of the individuals or organizations.
Photo Exhibition
In February 2010, FADE in partnership with our sponsors, will launch a fund raising exhibition showcasing the remarkable photos taken by the renowned photographer Kelechi Amadi-Obi during Dr. Jibunoh’s third expedition across the Sahara desert. Kelechi is a Desert Warrior and was in the expedition team of 2008
This two week exhibition will be held at the Didi Museum in Lagos, Nigeria and will consist of selected photographs of the landscapes and desert life. In addition, we will showcase ten unique paintings inspired by the photographs.
10th Anniversary Event
In May 2010, FADE will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary. In commemoration of this momentous occasion, we will be hosting a gala and conference in Lagos, Nigeria. Tickets will be out on sale in April, 2010. Updated information on this will be posted periodically so please stay posted.
